Valentine’s Day is here! My husband knows me well—he skipped the fancy dinner and instead surprised me with an active, adrenaline-filled date at Adventure HQ. Adventure HQ is Singapore’s largest indoor adventure park, featuring obstacle courses, climbing walls, giant slides! Because nothing says romance like dangling from ropes and sweating together, right?
(And in case you’re wondering, I got him something too! A DIY “Will You Beer My Valentine?” gift — four craft beers topped with paper flowers (see picture below). Cute, but more importantly, something I know he’ll love.)

What?
I thought it was just a ropes course, but my goodness—it was so much more! Walking in, we were hit with tunnels, climbing walls, slides, and climbing nets—basically an adult soft-play paradise! And with great music blasting, the energy was instantly high.
We checked in, stored our stuff in lockers, and went through a thorough briefing (complete with warm-up stretches—because safety first!). Then, the fun began:
- Obstacle net course – Testing our balance and coordination right from the start!
- Ninja course – Channeling our inner Ninja Warriors (emphasis on trying).
- Cave tunnels – Dark, twisty, and a knee-killer, but definitely something different!
- Rope adventure course – Suspended high above, with a view of trains passing below. Absolutely terrifying (thanks to my fear of heights), but the adrenaline rush after completing it? Unbeatable.
- Fireman slide – Surprisingly long and an absolute blast!
- Climbing walls – 24 auto-belay walls with cool climbing technology. Once trained, we clipped ourselves in and got to scaling!
- Roller glider – Hands down the best part! It’s like a flying fox but crazier. I screamed my head off the whole way!
WOW tips:
- Book through Klook! – easy, convenient, and you earn points!
- Wear long pants or leggings – more comfort, less harness chafing.
- Expect a workout — you will sweat, so be ready!
- Bring a water bottle – it’s thirsty work – you’ll need it. Trust me.
- Go with energy and make sure you’re reasonably fit — this isn’t a chill date, so make sure you’re up for the challenge!
- Set aside 3 hours – it’s a full adventure, so plan your time wisely.
Worth it?
Would I do it again? Absolutely!
For me, 9/10.
It was so much fun, full of surprises, but definitely a sweaty date! Probably best for long-term couples rather than a first date (unless you want to test their endurance early on!).
What He said…
“Good fun! Would be even better as a double or triple date since there’s some waiting for activities.”
His rating was 7/10 (Probably because he’s not as fit as he used to be! 🤣)

Wrap-up
It’s easy to fall into the usual “dinner and drinks” routine, switching things up with an active date brings a whole new level of fun. It’s different, exciting, and a great way to create shared memories—because trust me, you won’t forget the moment you conquer a fear (or nearly fall off a climbing wall together). Plus, laughing at yourselves is half the fun!
